BUZZ, goes the bee, making Honey Face Packs so sweet. Bee makes the honey that I love to eat! Many of you still remember that poem. Honey is a food made by bees from flowers. Honey contains vitamins B, vitamin C, minerals, iron and antioxidant, which are very important for a healthy and glowing skin. Honey is a well known antibacterial and anti fungal agent. It helps disinfect and speed the healing process in wounds, scrapes and burns. It has antibacterial, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. In addition to that, Honey has many properties which are good for skin. It helps to enhance natural glow in the skin, makes it look healthy and beautiful.

You can apply honey directly on your face, or you can add it to your face mask, scrub or made lip balm to enjoy the healthy benefits of it on your skin. But before applying honey, pull your hair back well with hair band and clean your face with water (Honey makes hair sticky). Here are some Honey face packs which can add natural glow to the skin.

Honey face packs for all skin types


Avocado and honey face packs for dry skin


Take ingredients:

  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoons of mashed avocado or avocado oil (or olive oil)

Beat the egg yolk in to avocado pulp, then mix the honey into it, apply this face pack for 15-20 then washed off. This pack gives intense nourishment to dry skin.

***Avocado oil contains Vitamin and Sterolins which gives relief to dry and itchy skin

Apricot and Honey Face Packs for Dry Skin


Take ingredients:

  • 3 apricot kernel powders
  • 6 teaspoon milk
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon almond oil
  • 1-2 drops of apple cider vinegar

Soak the apricots in milk for 2 hours and then add oil, honey and apple cider vinegar, and mash it well. Apply the mask for 10 minute and then wash with water.

***Almond oil has oleic acid which nourishes the skin and gives a clean, shiny and soft skin. It is also helps to protect the skin from harmful sunrays and delays skin ageing.

*** Apricot contains carotenoids (Vitamin A) and antioxidant which help to nourish the dry skin and makes it glowing.

Oatmeal and Honey Face Packs for dry skin


Take ingredients:

  • ½ mashed apple
  • 2 teaspoon honey
  • 2 teaspoon ground oatmeal  
  • 1 teaspoon of yogurt

Mash the apple with yogurt, add honey and oatmeal. Apply is face pack evenly on skin and then leave it for 15-20 minutes.

***Apple helps to cleanse the skin and act as toner to reduce fine lines and wrinkles.

***Oatmeal acts as an exfoliator to remove the dead skin.

Egg white and Honey Face Packs for Oily Skin


Take ingredients:

  • 3 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 unbeaten egg white
  • ½ teaspoon lavender oil
  • 1 Tablespoon powdered oatmeal

Mix everything together and make a moist paste. Apply the mask for 15-20 minutes, and then wash your face with warm water.

*** Lemon juice is great for removing dead skin and diminishes scars. It removes blackheads and wrinkle.

Honey and cucumber face pack for oily skin


Take ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • Teaspoon of apple cider vinegar (or lemon juice)
  • ½ peeled and mashed cucumber

Mix all the ingredients and form a paste of medium consistency and then apply it all over the face. Leave it for 15 minutes and then washed it with warm water.

Take ingredients:

  • 1 egg white
  • 3 teaspoon milk powder

Take ingredients:

  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon of lemon juice

Mix all the ingredients and then gently apply it over the face in a upward circular motion , when it begins to dry gently scrub it on face for 2-3 minutes and then wash your face with cold water.

***Brown sugar helps to exfoliate skin without drying and moisturize the skin.

***Cocoa powder helps to increased blood flow, so result in improving skin complexion.

*** Lemon juice is great for removing dead skin and diminishes scars. It removes blackheads and wrinkle.

Takes 1 teaspoon of raw honey and directly apply it on your face, leave it on your face for 10-15 minutes. Then wash your face with warm water. It is easiest way to use honey on face to achieve a clear and sparkling skin.

Prepare homemade Honey lip balm


Take ingredients:

  • Take 3 teaspoon of honey
  • 1 teaspoon of saffron

Add the saffron in to honey and leave it for 30-60 minutes and then apply it on your lips. This lip balm will help to lighten the pigmented lips.
